Privacy policy

Effective date: August 18, 2026. This policy describes how Simetra ("we", "the app") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information.

What we collect: (1) the face photo (selfie) you choose in the camera or photo library to generate a preview; (2) the AI-generated preview images you create; (3) a device-generated anonymous account identifier from Firebase Authentication; (4) purchase and subscription status from Apple via RevenueCat; (5) basic usage and diagnostic data via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (for example screens viewed and crash reports). We do not collect your name, contacts, precise location, or other photos from your library unless you choose them.

How we collect it: you take a photo with the camera or pick one from your library. An anonymous account is created on your device when you first use the app. Purchase records come from the App Store through RevenueCat. Usage and crash data are collected automatically by Firebase unless you restrict analytics in system settings.

How we use it: your selfie is uploaded to our Google Firebase backend so we can create and save your Looks. To generate a preview, that selfie is sent to a third-party AI service. Generated previews and the uploaded selfie stay in your private account so you can view and export them. We do not use your photos to train any AI model and we do not sell your data.

Third-party AI sharing: after you give in-app permission, Simetra sends the selfie you chose — and only that photo — to fal.ai (https://fal.ai). fal.ai processes the image with OpenAI’s image model (https://openai.com) solely to produce the preview you requested. This is the only time your face photo is shared with an AI provider. The in-app permission screen names this data, names fal.ai and OpenAI, and requires your explicit allow action before any photo is sent. Declining means the preview is not created and nothing is shared with those AI services.

Other processors: Google Firebase stores your account, photos, and diagnostics. RevenueCat processes subscription and credit-pack status. These companies process data only to provide Simetra.

Equal protection: fal.ai, OpenAI, Google Firebase, and RevenueCat are contractually required to protect personal data they receive from Simetra at a level that is the same as or equal to the protections in this policy, and to use that data only for the purposes described here.

Retention and deletion: uploaded selfies are automatically deleted 30 days after their last use. You can delete your account and all associated photos, generated previews, and purchase history at any time from Settings → Account → "Delete my photos & data". Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Your rights: you may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by emailing techtactoeappstudio@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children: Simetra is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from users under 16.
